Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas

December 22, 2021 // SAMC

As we prepare for the Christmas season, I am reminded of the spirit of Advent – a time of waiting, patience and perseverance. Advent is a reminder to slow down and listen as we await the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a season filled with hope and joy.

During the last two years, Saint Agnes has faced a different kind of waiting – one of uncertainty as we monitor our COVID case counts and pray for the day we can resume face-to-face gatherings unmasked. Though we continue to weather the lasting affects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have not been idle. We developed new policies and adopted a culture of safety. We implemented crucial medical treatments for low- and high-risk COVID-19 patients. We distributed more than 10,000 COVID-19 vaccines to colleagues, patients and the community. We supported our neighbors in greatest need by partnering with local organizations to provide food, resources and financial assistance. And, every day, whether rain or shine, high census or low, we provided quality, compassionate care for our patients.

I want to thank each of you for your perseverance and dedication to our healing mission throughout these trying times. Thank you for the gift of life you have given to thousands of Valley patients over the last two years. I am inspired by your resiliency as we head into this time of renewal and greet the new year.

I wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season. May you find moments of peace and refreshment. Merry Christmas!
