We regret to inform you that Kim Meeker will soon be leaving Saint Agnes to return home to Michigan to be closer to her family. Her last day is Friday, December 4. To support the team in the interim, we have created a temporary role of Vice President of Ancillary and Support Services, which will be filled by Walter Ray III. Walter officially joins us Wednesday, Nov. 18.

We are pleased to announce Lisa Peskoff as our new Lean Facilitator. Lisa comes to Saint Agnes after serving as a Lean Consultant at Sutter Valley Hospitals in Modesto, California, and as a Lean Facilitator and Surgical Analyst at Saint Joseph Hospital in Eureka, California, before that. She chose to pursue a career in health care because she had strong role models in the nursing field as a young adult and has a passion for people and supporting medical workers who care for others. If you see Lisa around the hospital, be sure to give her a Saint Agnes welcome!

Thank you for donating blood!

Last week, Saint Agnes, in partnership with the Central California Blood Center, hosted an emergent blood drive to help combat the critical blood shortage in the Central Valley. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to collect 50 pints of blood! Their blood means the difference between life and death for Valley patients, and we couldn’t be more proud of all our colleagues and community members who took time out of their day to donate. Thank you for supporting Valley patients and for giving the gift of life!

Saint Agnes helps support women in need

Earlier this month, one of our community health partners, Cultiva La Salud, received a Social Influencer Grant to help ensure that students of Fresno County schools had access to healthy foods. When COVID-19 hit in March and the county mandated school closures, Saint Agnes asked Cultiva to repurpose its funding to help provide families with the essential resources they needed. Please take a few moments to watch this powerful video Cultiva created to showcase the impact of their new program. We’re proud to continue supporting the important life-changing work of Cultiva.
