All Souls Day all month long

November 3rd, 2021 // Around the Medical Center, Spirituality in the Workplace

All Souls Day, November 2, is a day to commemorate and pray for the faithful departed. Given the magnitude of loss we’ve endured since the pandemic began, one day doesn’t seem enough, so our chaplains will be praying for those left behind throughout the month. If you’ve lost a loved one and wish to be lifted up in prayer for peace and hope to carry on, please write the name of the individual(s) for whom you mourn in the Intercessory Book of Prayers located in Christ the Healer Chapel, or email them to josie.longoria@samc.com.

Have a loved one serving in the military?

July 1st, 2020 // Spirituality in the Workplace

In November, we launched the Military and Veterans Health Program (MilVet) as a way to connect active military, veterans and their families with culturally sensitive care. As we look toward Independence Day this weekend, we are reminded of the dedication of countless military servicemen and women who have made sacrifices to help keep our country free. In honor of Independence Day, we would like to update our list of colleague family members actively serving in the military so we can continue to pray for their safety and well-being.
