A POWERful team

On Monday evening, Saint Agnes experienced a temporary power loss due to a car accident that took down a primary PG&E power pole and transformer. Often, it isn’t until things go wrong that we can fully appreciate the people responsible for making them go right. Monday’s power loss was an important reminder of just how fortunate we are to have such a skilled and dedicated Plant Facilities team. We owe a debt of gratitude to these unsung heroes, so please, the next time you see them, extend your thanks.

Complete stroke education HealthStream by Apr. 30

Last week, you received a notification from HealthStream asking you to complete the Stroke: Sign/Symptom & Prevention 2022 course by Saturday, April 30. We recognize that this is a very tight turn around but providing our colleagues with this education is vital to the hospital maintaining its accreditation as a Certified Stroke Center. The course only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete, but don’t wait until the last minute to take it.

GME Grand Rounds, May 4

You’re invited to attend a virtual GME Grand Rounds lecture on May 4, 12-1:30 p.m. Guest Speaker Alireza Soleimani Far, MD, will present on the importance of Hospice and Palliative Care and how to better connect patients with these vital services. The presentation is open to everyone. CME credit is not available for this course. The link to the presentation meeting will be sent out next week.
