Pledge to Protect our community

July 29th, 2020 // Coronavirus, Pledge to Protect

Special thanks to everyone who has signed our Pledge to Protect poster that’s been in the cafeteria annex during the past week (now located in Cyber Café and The Plaza lobby). Each signature symbolizes a personal promise to help keep our colleagues, loved ones, and community safe. As a health care employee, you know better than anyone the importance of these simple actions to slowing the spread of COVID-19 in our community: wear a mask, practice physical distancing and wash your hands. And because you know best, others are watching and following your lead. So, if you haven’t had a chance, we hope you’ll take a moment to sign the pledge.

TAKE ACTION for COVID-19 relief

July 29th, 2020 // Coronavirus

The impact of COVID-19 on our health system has been tremendous – leading to a system-wide restructure and re-sizing earlier this month. With no way to predict when the pandemic with reach its highest peak, or when it will end, the need for additional federal relief funding is critical to the continuation for our ministry. As the U.S. Senate deliberates its fourth COVID-19 stimulus bill, we ask that you – as a health care professional and representative of Saint Agnes hospital – join with colleagues from across Trinity Health in asking Congress for additional financial relief to help us reach our goal.

As part of our efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community, we have developed the Pledge to Protect – a promise to appropriately mask, physically distance, practice proper hand hygiene and care for others. But we can’t keep this promise without your help. That’s why we’re asking you, our colleagues, to take the pledge by signing your name to our pledge poster (located in the Cafeteria Annex). Keeping our community safe requires the dedicated efforts of each one of us, and we thank you for taking the initiative and pledging to protect our community.

Take Action: COVID-19 financial relief needed

July 22nd, 2020 // Coronavirus

The impact of COVID-19 is like nothing our health system has experienced before. We, along with other systems across the nation, continue to experience lower revenues, and our ministries lose thousands of dollars with every COVID-19 inpatient in our care. As you know, Saint Agnes and Trinity Health are restructuring and re-sizing as well as redesigning work and cutting expenses in order to meet this new dynamic. While Congress has provided some relief for COVID-19 expenses and related losses, more is needed. Please join colleagues from across our footprint in requesting additional financial relief and calling on Congress to again meet the needs of providers so that we might continue our Mission of being a healing and transforming presence in the communities we serve.
